Evolving a national program into a future-facing platform

Overview
Reservoir Partners was engaged by Hort Innovation to transition the 202020 Vision into a new brand and platform that could extend its relevance beyond 2020. Building on the foundations of the original program, Greener Spaces Better Places (GSBP) was created to unify stakeholders and drive long-term urban greening outcomes across Australia.
The Opportunity
With the 202020 Vision reaching its endpoint, there was a need to evolve the program into a future-facing platform that could sustain momentum and expand its impact. This required a new brand, clear positioning and alignment across a large and diverse stakeholder base.
Our Approach
Reservoir Partners led the development of the Greener Spaces Better Places brand and platform. We managed consultation across an 8,000+ stakeholder network spanning industry, government, research, development and allied sectors, led the brand development process in collaboration with creative partners and the SIAP advisory panel, defined the brand purpose, positioning, name, identity and messaging framework, developed brand guidelines and launch strategy to support national rollout, and aligned stakeholders around a clear and future-focused direction.
The Outcome
Greener Spaces Better Places demonstrates how a strong foundation, deep stakeholder alignment and clear brand design can successfully transition a legacy program into a scalable future model. A seamless transition from the 202020 Vision, with a platform built to drive long-term national urban greening outcomes.
